They have one of the better Buffets still intact for the TA Travel Centers, and a smaller Taco Bell with a "Limited Menu" - no item's such as the healthier version of their "Power Bowl" and a few other items.
Restaurant has excellent food and a wide variety of choices on their buffet. My only issue with the restaurant is the waitresses always bring you your check before asking you if you'd like anything else. I like dessert sometimes or decide to add an order to go, but you feel like you're being rushed out of there.
The shop is decent, but they take a long time to fix simple things like a clearance light. Not sure if they're trying to beef up the invoice labor time spent or what. They are friendly and helpful folks tho.
The food there is great. It is one of the last of the resturants that T/A has that still has a Buffet but if you need work done on your rig you had better watch them. They work to fast and they forget stuff. Other than that it's a great place to strop.
Showers are clean, and they try to stay on track with the Rest Rooms, which can be difficult for this high traffic facility.
Shop is available, and Parking Lot is full every night, with some Driver's parking along the sides of the outer Driveway. Bobtails usually park there to free up the full size parking, as UPS and FedEx are just around the corner, and they're running "On Call", so have some courtesy by not blocking them in.
Very clean place inside and out. Watch what you buy in the store. Several items have one price listed but ring up at a higher price, like bottles of soda (listed as 2 for $3, but rang up at $1.89 each, or Cinnabon bites marked as $1.79 but rang up at $1.99) I get fuel here and this has happened to me a couple of times. One girl wasn't too pleasant about having to void something on the register. Too bad..
Seems like I have all the luck here. Have been coming to this TA since it opened, and have never been treated with anything but respect. The staff are very friendly, the place is kept clean, and the food has always been above par. Haven't used the shop so can't comment on them, but overall this is a good place to stop.
The buffet was well set up and kept full throughout our eating experience. We were asked approximately three times during our dinner if everything from the buffet was ok. We will be traveling to this buffet for meals again.
